Founded by the Human Values and Mental Health Foundation, Uskudar Istanbul University is Turkey's first thematic university in the field of behavioral health and sciences. Uskudar University works with similar methods towards common goals in various fields such as mind and body health and diseases, medicine, genetics, social sciences and bioengineering, basic sciences, spiritual sciences, family counseling. To produce science and services and train qualified people. It also protects and improves the mental health of people and society through a holistic approach in historical, cultural, social and health fields.

This university does not have a dormitory in its campus.

Altonizade campus

The main campus of Üsküdar University is located in Altunizade, which is one of the most central areas of Üsküdar. The central campus of Üsküdar University is within walking distance of the metrobus from the Üsküdar-Çekmöy metro station. Üsküdar University offers education in three different buildings located on Universiteit Street, Altunizade neighborhood, Central Campus.

TRANSPORTATION TO MAIN CAMPUS: VIA METROBUS: Provides convenience for our students traveling from European and Asian side of the city. After reaching Altunizade station and crossing the road through the overpasses, cross Kısıklı street for 5 minutes and turn to İcadiye Bağlarbaşı street. 250 meters further you will find the main campus of Üsküdar University.

Uskudar Carsi campus
Üsküdar University's Çarşı Campus is located in the center of Üsküdar, which is one of the most historic areas of Istanbul. Çarşı campus, located within the Üsküdar Mimar Sinan neighborhood, has an important location in land and sea transportation such as Marmaray, Üsküdar-Çekmöy metro and city lines. Üsküdar University's Çarşı campus offers convenient transportation options.

TRANSPORTATION TO CARSI CAMPUS: VIA METROBUS: Provides convenience for our students traveling from European and Asian side of the city. After reaching Altunizade station and crossing the road through the overpasses, cross Kısıklı street for 5 minutes and turn to İcadiye Bağlarbaşı street. You can reach Charshi Campus from any bus and minibus station using the bus numbers indicated in the public transport list below. (10 minutes by public transport)

Altonizade South Campus

The South Campus of Üsküdar University is located in Altunizade, which is one of the most central areas of Üsküdar. The Faculty of Communication and the Faculty of Health Sciences are located in the South Campus of Üsküdar University, which is within walking distance of the Üsküdar-Çekmöy Metro and Metrobus. Üsküdar University teaches in its building on Mahir IZ Caddesi in Altunizade Mahallesi, South Campus.

South Campus Transportation: VIA METROBUS: Provides convenience for our students traveling from the European and Asian side of the city. After reaching Altonizadeh station, follow the road through the overpasses. 5 minutes walk along Mahir IZ Cad. It leads to the south campus of Üsküdar University. (facing Capitol Mall)

University Description

History - From Past to TodayAs NP group, we started this journey to enhance the level of the society's mental health, contribute to the rehabilitation of mental health-related problems, offer health services for treatments of in-patients and out-patients, and while offering these services to provide them in international standards of today's modern science. In 1998, we started to implement the standard EEG, together with an additional feature of brain mapping and therewithal added the computerized clinical Neurobiofeedback tests and computerized training modules into diagnosis and treatment programs.Firstly, NP Group initiated the Turkish branch of the Memory Centers of America on May 25th, 1999, at Bağdad Street in Istanbul with the participation of then President of the Republic, Süleyman Demirel.The Memory Center, which was accomplished to implement the “Brain check-up” and “Magnetic Stimulation Treatment" (TMS) first in Turkey, continues to offer new treatment methods uninterruptedly in psychiatry effectively with its highly qualified expert staff.The Memory Center relied on the scientific measurements in the diagnosis and the treatment of brain functions dealing with neurological and psychiatric diseases, and opened the second stage opening Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit one year later, on October 3rd, 2000 with the participation of Wenon Wells, the President of “Memory Center of America”.The service of these two centers has been facilitating unremittingly since then. We take pride in being the pioneers in Turkey to implement a treatment approach that depends on measuring the brain functions and understanding the thought-oriented medicine.By combining and making use of the potential of all Neurology, Psychiatry, and Psychology; NP Group has adapted a multidisciplinary approach from diagnosis to treatment in Turkey.In February 2003, NP Group put a five-storey center for Adult Neurology and Psychiatry in Feneryolu into service, and allocated the villa behind it for Young Children and Adolescent Psychiatry.In November 2006, NP Group has started to use functional and volumetric MR visualization techniques. On March 20th 2007, we have met the need for an in-patient institution and inaugurated the Hospital with the participation of Bülent Arınç, President of Grand National Assembly of Turkey by establishing the first and the only Neuropsychiatry Hospital in Turkey .In June 2009, NP GROUP started the first Clinical Pharmacogenetic Laboratory in Neuropsychiatry in Turkey and on August 10th, 2009, the service of Child and Adolescent Psychology and Adult Psychiatry at NPISTANBUL Polyclinic at Etiler.On March 3rd, 2011 Üsküdar University has been officially established .Following NPISTANBUL Brain Hospital, NP Feneryolu Polyclinic and NP Etiler Polyclinic, Üsküdar University is added to the NP Group chain as an importand part of the thematic network. NP Group inspired by the NP traditions and with the vision of faculty adhering them, has a pioneering role to offer young people doors to promising jobs of the future while being individuals equipped with human values.As of November 22nd 201, the Memory Center Neuropsychiatry Center and the NPISTANBUL Polyclinic at Etiler continues to serve as part of Üsküdar University’s NPSUAM Neuropschiatry Health Application and Research Center.Research and DevelopmentNP Group has invested much on R&D projects and novelties to introduce to Turkey within the field of Neurology. Üsküdar University aims to contribute to the world medicine through accumulating large data base and using hi-tech devices such as QEEC, volumetric MR, functional MR, one and only MR compatible EEG, EPMRS, EKT, Pharmacogenetic Laboratory and rTMS. The results of the researches and projects have been shared with the psychiatry world and published in renowned scientific magazines.
