Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University is a foundation university established in accordance with the law numbered 5839, on 19th February 2009, by "Vatan Sağlık ve Eğitim Vakfı (VASEV)" in Istanbul. Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University aims to bring the scientists needed by the society into the country and to become a higher education institution and centre of excellence connected to Atatürk's principles and reforms, aiming to educate knowledgeable, contemporary, equipped and experienced young people who are useful to the society.
Having been founded in 2009 with 10 faculties, 2 vocational schools and 3 institutes, it first started providing education with 7 faculties, 2 vocational schools and 860 students in 2010-2011 Academic Year.
